The VLTOR A5 Receiver Extensions are six or seven position receiver extensions designed to work with the VLTOR A5 system. This receiver extension is designed to work with Mil-Spec dimensioned M4/AR-15 type collapsible stocks. It also can be utilized as a replacement receiver extension for some AR-10 rifles.
- The "RE-A5" 7 position receiver extension will NOT allow most standard milspec-sized stocks to lock into place in the completely collapsed position. (Only Magpul ACS, ACS-L, and VLTOR E-Mod stocks will.)
- Using the "RE-10/A5SR: 6 position receiver extension will allow any milspec-sized stock to completely bottom out, and lock in place on the second-to-last position on the extension itself. (You WILL be left with about a 1" gap between the castle nut and the stock.)
It is our recommendation that if you're not using a Magpul ACS, ACS-L, or VLTOR E-Mod stocks; but will be using a standard milspec-sized stock, (B5 SOPMOD, LWRC Compact, VLTOR I-MOD, Magpul SL, etc.) that you use the RE-10/A5SR lower receiver extension, as it allows your stock to lock in the collapsed position.
THIS RECEIVER EXTENSION IS MEANT TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH VLTOR A5 BUFFERS, AND RIFLE-LENGTH BUFFER SPRINGS! USING THIS PART WITH STANDARD BUFFERS, AND STANDARD BUFFER SPRINGS WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE TO YOUR FIREARM, AND POTENTIALLY INJURY TO THE OPERATOR.
